I can't believe I only found Google Earth in February (2006) - It's Amazing! I was listening to the Nature Podcast and they were talking about scientists using it to share data. One person stated that Google Earth was the best thing they had ever seen. I, of course, had to look it out.
Its great for business searching and info, directions and superb aerial photos of lots of the world. It also allows homemap overlays and placemarks to be shared among the internet community. My favourite things include drect Wikipedia links, real-time cloud mapping, old map overlays and people posting their favourite and funny areial photo locations.
This is an addictive piece of software and extremely educational..
