I pretty much trust GamesTm entirely and would definitely think twice about a game that they had slated. Occasionally, though the do seem to have the tiniest review that seems a bit snide. This is a log of disagreements I have with GamesTM reviews or anything else. You will only ever see items here that I have really strongly disagreed with. It will never come down to just the score - it will also be because of attitude or laziness or anything else - but never just the score.
Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree

I actually believe that they haven't played this entirely. They said that the one player game is made up of just the 'test' mode. They seem to have missed the 'practice' mode that (okay, it's not well named) is actually an additictive single player medal chasing challenge. Trying to get at least a bronze on all puzzles on all skill levels is excellent fun. With golds on easy. medium and hard opening up an expert mode. I would definitely recommend this game. Especially if you haven't played it on the DS. It's funny and loads of fun. My wife and I have played hours and hours of this and even got her parents to play as well!!! It is definitely not a full enough package to make it a full price game and this is reflected in it's actual price (yes GamesTM it's a budget game!). GamesTM reviewed this as "Wii Degree" that may be the american subtitle but the British release is just called "for Wii".

I most definitely need more than just one Wii-mote. And despite the low score that GamesTM gave it, I decided to go for Wii Play with free Wii-Mote. For a mere five pounds more than the asking price of a Wii-mote on its own you can get Wii Play as well. Plus you get the 250 Nintendo Stars. This is a great deal - simple. The games are simple too but they do show off the Wii's unique controls. Okay so they do have only a short life to them but Wii Play does fully use the Miis and it gives a good idea of how they may be used in the future. These games certainly do appeal to non-gamers that I know.
I just don't agree with GamesTM on this one. GamesTM is quite simply wrong about Laser Hockey being too sensitive and Find Mii is fun - I have played it loads with the Mrs. GamesTM just don't seem to have been bothered to get used to the controls - although they really don't take that long - non gamers I know have got to grips with every game very quickly.
I would say that the first extra Wii-mote you buy should be one with this game. I would give the game a 7/10 and definitely recommend it for kids as well as everyone who wants to give their new Wii a workout and to show off to non-gamers what it can do.
