Console Yourself

"Console Yourself" is the natural progression of an idea which was only forming in the last two albums. Needless to say I have played a lot of video games in my life and found the music within these an inspiration. For years I have been collecting a catalogue of my favourite game music in the hope that one day I would be able to use their teachings about melody, feeling, and atmosphere to produce my own classics for home listening. That day has come. With the internet I have found archives of music from many games lost to time and listening to these with an immense sense of nostalgia I have discovered that many of my favourite artists have used the old, obscure music of video games in their tracks. With issues of copyright I have worked on my own game-style music using the sorts of old-school sounds these games machines used to make and mixed them with my own hip hop and drum and bass influenced drums and dub reggae style basslines.
